Name Kiso Talking Thinking
Breed Belgian
Gender XY
Height 16.2 HH
Age 4
Alliance Of the Eclipse
Halter None
Appearance Long white traces fall off him from the top of his neck and his rear, sprouting off a bodice colored a deep shade of buckskin. Piercing black eyes sit well placed upon his head, noticing much, revealing little. Deep black hooves blend in perfectly with the midnight ground, and are large enough - wide enough - to portray few signs of his passings. All that marks his body besides a few hidden bite marks is one, single white stripe. His nose fades to black around the nares. His well worn teeth are a shade of dark yellow, giving him the ability to efficiently hide in the shadows, even the white hairs that adorn his slightly aged bodice. Two audits are placed precariously on top of his head, his left of which is slightly weak of hearing. Whether it was a birth defect or from an incident that occurred while he was held captive, he refuses to reveal.
Personality Kiso does not make false claims to have come from a dark herd, nor does he think himself a "perfect dark." He does not follow Satan - more because he doesn't believe in Satan in the first place than because he believes himself above the sadistic idol. His main belief in life is that if you can rule yourself and others without a care and with success, then there is no reason to believe that anyone else can rule over you. He is now fully intent on gaining captives of his own, since he himself has been a captive and wishes to teach others what it feels like; he wants revenge for the act he did fully feel himself. He fights with a brutality that can only come from wanting to end the fight quickly and wanting to get - or keep - what he believes to be rightfully his. He is not one to enjoy fighting over things; rather, he loathes it. He only enjoys fighting if someone has done something to him. In other words, he is not an offensive attacker, but it is when he is being defensive, guarding what is his, that he is most powerful. This side of him mostly opened up from his foal hood, when he was raised by light-neutrals. Now that he has experienced half of light, half of neutral, and half of darkness, he has chosen to side with the darks. Most of his acts in his life have followed the dark path perfectly. He could never live as a light, nor as someone indecisive enough as to claim total, or worse, half neutrality. So he chose darkness. He keeps many secrets and trusts no one. He will fight mercilessly, but never kill; he wants others to remember their experiences and shiver when they think of how sorely they were defeated. The dead cannot do that. The dead cannot spread his legacy from the point of view of someone he fought. Fought and defeated. They cannot. The living, however, can.
Background Kiso grew up in a small neutral herd. It was geared more towards the light half than the dark half. Unlike most neutrals-turned-dark, Kiso was not upset in the least. He did not grow vicious or evil as some did. Rather, he thrived in that environment. It was his brother, Micon, who was born with that thought of killing the whole herd. Being older and wiser, Micon was Kiso's idol. Knowing this bit of useful information, Micon tried to sway Kiso and a few trusted friends of his, both in and out of the herd, to join him in his quest for vengeance. Kiso was young at the time, and didn't fully understand that to get revenge, you had to have a crime committed upon you; Micon had never once been anything but spoiled and loved upon. But Kiso automatically assumed that Micon knew what he was doing, that the herd was weak, sick, that they were helping... Something of that nature. None of which were true. Their herd was actually prospering and thriving, both emotionally, mentally, and physically. Their herd grew larger and larger, almost by the week. New horses were joining in, trying to better themselves. Foals were commonplace, as everyone was healthy and strong, and they had no reason to fear either predators, weather, or disease.
Our herd is small and dying anyway, so we'll be doing them a favor, little brother. Ending their pain. Just do it fast; they'll thank you, and you shall be honored above all expectations. Remember that. Always remember that, and act on it.
Micon had told him, in private after one of his several meetings to convince the others following him that what he, no, what THEY, were doing was right. Micon proved to be a very convincing individual, and by the time Kiso was one and a half, barely having begun his training for being a warrior-prince, Micon decided they had waited long enough to take over - or, as he put it, "save them." They attacked in the middle of the night, trying to take down the warrior camp first. That was the end of the plot that had never begun. They were overpowered easily and without a challenge. Some foals, such as Kiso, were lucky enough to run off and escape being killed. Micon was not so fortunate as to run off, nor was he fortune enough to die. He was taken prisoner by the herd that would have become his herd within a few years. Both he and Kiso were sons of the herd's leader, but Micon, being older, would have gained the title, not Kiso. Kiso wasn't disappointed all too much; he had learned all he needed to know from Micon. Never trust anyone. If there's anyone who opposes you, there's only one way to do things properly. Kill them.
Kiso was eventually taken prisoner by another dark herd, and being barely two years old , he had no way to fight his way out. But during that time, he was not beaten up, as a few other prisoners were. Rather, seeing him with all his princely conformation, and noticing his royal way of carrying himself, they saw him as a way of bartering to get what they wanted most: Land, and mares for "pleasure" breeding. They thought that because of the value of their captive, their offer would be gladly accepted. Their plan, much like Micon's, didn't work out quite as planned. For a time it did, but once it got too far, it failed miserably. For one thing, they didn't know, and Kiso had been smart enough not to tell them, that he was considered an outcast by his herd. His father's herd "accepted" the terms set in place by the other herd. Kiso's captor sent a few representatives to claim their prize and give up the prince. But they were attacked before they reached the terra, and all but Kiso were killed. Out of sympathy for the foal who had been unfairly swayed, they let him run, but not before threatening to kill him if anything ever happened again. Kiso did not respond particularly well to that. He had seen how the dark's had operated, he had killed for Micon, he had learned valuable lessons. He was no longer going to bow down to someone else. No, he would rule his own herd. He would stick to what he had learned. Kill those who opposed you. And as for those who actually posed a threat... First, make them cower. Then kill them.
